Wolf of the Month-Priscilla Cordova

PRISCILLA CORDOVA - WOLF OF THE MONTH
Priscilla is a 17-year-old, junior, Honor Roll student. Priscilla names Mrs. Sue Terrell (Business) and Ms. Kendra Mann (Math) as her favorite teachers. Priscilla’s favorite subjects are Business and Science. Some of Priscilla’s hobbies and interests outside of school include hanging out with family and friends and going on runs. Priscilla names her parents, Jose and Nohemi, as her role model and states, “My parents see the positive in everything. My father is always working very hard for what he wants to achieve, and he does it with actions, not words. My mother is always doing her best and handles everything so calmly and positively.” Priscilla also looks up to Mrs. Terrell and said, “Mrs. Terrell is another role model of mine because she always makes sure you work hard and give it your all.”
When asked to discuss an accomplishment that she is proud of, Priscilla responded, “I am very proud of my FFA and FBLA District and Chapter offices. I am very passionate about these organizations and love being a leader to help others!”. When asked to share her future aspirations, Priscilla stated, “I would love to become a State FBLA Officer. Also, after high school I hope to attend college and eventually become a dental assistant”. Priscilla shared that a “Fun-Fact” about herself is that “I love talking and getting to know people. I can actually tell 7 stories while trying to tell just one”. Priscilla’s advice to her classmates is, “Strive for what you believe in while respecting the decisions of others. It’s really all in your head and your energy on how well you perform. Just know you never truly fail; as Thomas Edison once said, ‘I have not failed, I have found 10,000 ways that don’t work.”
Mrs. Terrell states, “What impresses me the most about Priscilla is her disposition and her thirst for improving herself. She started on the path of wanting to become a better person and learn as much as she could as a freshman and has consistently stayed on that path. She continues to amaze me each day by her selflessness and volunteering while at the same time staying on top of her grades. She is definitely a role model.” Mr. Johnson had the following to say, “Priscilla has really come a long way in recent years. Her grades, maturity, and over-all attitude and conduct has progressed so much over the past three years, and it has been a lot of fun to watch. Anyone who knows Priscilla knows she is full of energy and enthusiasm (and a whole lot of words), and she is ready to share and spread her enthusiasm for life with anyone and everyone she comes in contact with. You are certainly on the right path Priscilla, and I can’t wait to see how much you continue to achieve moving for-ward. Keep up the good work, and congratulations on being selected as Wolf of the Month – a well-deserved honor.
