Rebecca is a 13-year-old 8th Grader on the High Honor Roll. Rebecca names Mrs. Sherri Ramseier (Language), Mrs. Peggy Moberly (Art), and Mr. Patrick Brown (Ag) as her favorite teachers. Rebecca stated that some of her hobbies and interests outside of school include, “riding horses, doing art, showing goats, and doing leathercraft.” When asked to discuss her role models, Rebecca replied, “My role models are Jesus first and foremost, and also my mom (Jill) because I learn so much from her.” Rebecca shared that a “Fun-Fact” about herself is, “my birthday falls on Easter this year and also I will be taking a mission trip this June.” When asked to discuss an accomplishment that she is proud of, Rebecca responded, “I set personal goals at the beginning of each school year. This year I have been successful at reaching those goals so far, which include following God and not losing faith, working hard for good grades, and trying to always act in a respectful way.” When asked to discuss a future goal, Rebecca stated, “I hope to work hard to prepare my market goat for fair and I have a goal of placing in the top 3 for showmanship.”A piece of advice Rebecca offers her classmates is, “Just because others aren’t doing it doesn’t mean you can’t. Just because no one else cares doesn’t mean you can’t care.”Mr. Johnson states, “I don’t know if Idalia has a nicer, sweeter, more respectful student then Rebecca. Each of her teacher’s love having her in class, and she is just such an overall outstanding young lady. She constantly has a smile on her face and I don’t think she has a mean bone in her body. She is a fantastic friend and is thriving both in and out of the classroom. Although she is naturally quiet, I hope the younger students in our school take notice as to how Rebecca conducts herself and how nice she is to everyone, making her an ideal leader by example. Rebecca is genuine, lives her life with great integrity, and constantly has a good attitude. Our school, and the world as a whole, is a better place due to people like Rebecca. Congratulations on being selected as Student of the Month Rebecca, and we can’t wait to see all your future successes!
