Wolf of the Month-Koy Smith
KOY SMITH - WOLF OF THE MONTH
Koy is an 18-year-old senior on the Honor Roll. Koy names Mr. Weirich (Social Studies), Mrs. Cindy Soehner (Math/Science), and Mrs. Ramseier (College Prep) as his favorite teachers. Koy’s favorite subjects are Agriculture and Physics. Some of Koy’s hobbies and interests outside of school include hunting, fishing, working on vehicles, and hanging out with friends. Koy names his parents, Russell and Brandi, as his role model and states, “My parents are hardworking, and they still love me even though I swallowed a battery.” Koy shared that a “Fun-Fact” about himself is that “I am terrible at maintaining my weight during wrestling.”
When asked to discuss an accomplishment that he is proud of, Koy responded, “I am proud I was named All-Conference in football in 2020.” Koy’s future plans include “becoming a Sheriff Deputy.” A piece of advice Koy offers to his classmates is, “Set a good example because the younger kids are always watching. Also, don’t let someone else’s opinion change who you are.”
Mr. Johnson states, “Koy is a great kid who makes countless positive contributions to our school. He is hard-working, humble, polite, respectful, and overall just a great leader by example. Koy is always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. Ask any of Koy’s teachers and coaches, and they will all speak to his impressive effort and attitude. Along with being a successful student, Koy has enjoyed much success outside the classroom including foot-ball, wrestling, track and FFA to name just a few examples. Keep up the good work Koy and know you are making us proud! Best of luck in your future endeavors, I know your success will continue.”
