Idalia School District Announces Finalists for Superintendent/Principal Position
Idalia, CO – The Idalia School District is excited to announce the finalists for its Superintendent/Principal position following an extensive search process. After careful evaluation and screening, the district has selected two highly qualified candidates who bring strong leadership experience, a clear vision for education, and a deep commitment to student success and community engagement.
The finalists are:
- Scott Hodgson – Currently serving as a middle school principal in Weld RE-1 School District (Platteville, CO), Mr. Hodgson has held leadership roles in education since 2011, including principal, director of secondary education, and assistant principal/athletic director. He began his teaching career in 2007 and holds a Master’s degree from Adams State University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado. He has a principal license and has completed the Superintendent Licensure Program at the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs.
- Kristi Minor – A longtime member of the Idalia School District, Mrs. Minor has served as assistant principal since 2018. She has been an educator in Idalia since 2008 and previously worked with the district in other capacities. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University, a principal license, and an endorsement for Educator Effectiveness (staff evaluation).
Led by Board President Amber Hardwick, the Idalia School Board conducted a rigorous search to find a leader who will build on the district’s strengths and guide its future. The finalists have demonstrated strong leadership, a deep understanding of education, and a commitment to fostering student-centered learning.
The board will conduct interviews with the finalists in an open board meeting on April 3rd, where community members are welcome to observe.
